Penny Stocks Tutorial and Strategy

1. Never put all of your eggs in one basket. Even the best stock in the world can be risky. Spread your investments around in several stocks and refrain from using a large portion of your account on a single stock.

2. Always have settled funds in your investment account! The worst feeling in the world is seeing a perfect stock buying opportunity and having no funds to make the purchase. A simple guideline is to never have more than three-fourths of your total investment account balance tied up in stocks at a time.

3. Make trades of at least $500. Any less would defeat the purpose of investing, as commission costs would eat up any profits. For instance, if an investment of only $100 was made and your online investment company charges $10 per trade, you would have to make at least a 20% gain to break even. On the other hand if a trade of $1,000 was made you only need a 2% gain to break even.

4. At the bare minimum we recommend a start-up investment account balance of at least $1,600. This way you can hold up to 3 $500 stock positions at a time and the extra $100 would cover broker commissions. However, an optimal minimum account start up value is $3,200 so as to abide by the guideline of holding less than three-fourths of your investment account balance in stocks at a time as highlighted above in tip #2. Note that the only style of trading recommended would be trades that last more than a few days. Intra-day trading would require additional funding to avoid day-trading restrictions on trading.

This is only the tip of the iceberg. The above tips are only basic guidelines and there is much more detail involved in our trading strategies. Trading penny stocks and getting positive gains from them requires a bit of experience. Luckily we are here to provide information to help you gain this knowledge quickly. Keep an eye out and visit this blog often for strategies in making real money in penny stocks.

NEOM is Primed for Another Run

Neomedia Technologies. MACD is indicating a new trend, and ended the day yesterday with the first white candle (white spinning top) in the last 5 days. In the last major run in March, the stock exploded to over 6x its price! The upside potential greatly outweighs the downside risk of getting in right now. Other indicators haven’t yet caught up; once they all converge, watch out! Further discussion in the forum in thread http://pennystocksignals.com/forum/index.php?topic=3756.0.

ECDC gained 25% on Friday, more gains to come.

On Monday, it is possible that there could be a pullback from profits, but this stock could has a chance of hitting .009+ again as it did on the 1st of May. I’m liking the volatility and high volume on this one. Load up on the dips and take profits! Continue discussion in the forum at the ECDC message board thread.

Welcome to the new site! Old version of Penny Stock Signals archived for display.

I archived the old version of this website at pennystocksignals.com/2006/, because I am too fond of it to just delete it. Those were the days, I’m proud of it and still find it inspiring of what I’ve accomplished. The site allowed people to subscribe to my penny stock alerts for $20 a month, and could receive the alerts via text message or email. I still have subscribers to this day (even though all content on this site is currently FREE).

Now to move forward and to bring new the site to this decade…This site looks great on the Retina Display iPad. More features to be added to the site soon, but the main ingredient will be valuable stock posts. There will be a post coming soon for a breakout stock, which I think could be a possible 5 bagger.

Penny Stock Signals back in action in 2012!!

Welcome to my penny stock blog. I started pennystocksignals.com back in 2006. The penny stock service model was tedious to maintain, I’ve spent lots of time and effort in providing my real trading history, alerts, and dialog on the site. The profits were real, and in April-May 2006, I made an 80% return (within 2 months) on my initial starting capital of $15,000, reaching $27,000 in May. During this time, I was very disciplined and adaptive to the curve balls that penny stocks can throw, and achieved this while maintaining a full-time job! Traffic to my site grew exponentially.

Keeping up with everything and not trading in moderation and understanding lulls in the stock market that could last months took its toll, and I got burnt out that summer of 2006 (when the housing market already peaked and was beginning to downturn), and took a break from penny stocks. I take it as a learning experience.

Fast forward to 2012, I am older, wiser, own a home, have a great full time job as an engineer, and have an emotional detachment to money that I didn’t have when I was younger. I’m back with a vengeance. I am ready to begin making money in penny stocks again. I realize that the stock market is an evolving beast, and automation is becoming more prevalent.

Stay tuned for hot penny stock alerts, please subscribe to my blog, keep checking back, and check out all of the latest buzz on the best penny stock picks from the forum at pennystocksignals.com/forum as well!

Thanks for reading,

Paul Peterson
